Top Tips for a CEO Mindset

While as a wedding planner you may think of your job as executing a perfect wedding day, there's SO much more that goes on behind the scenes as an entrepreneur.

top tips for developing a CEO mindset

I've been there as the owner of A Southern Soiree and the owner of The Planner's Vault, so I'm sharing how I maintain a CEO mindset and keep my businesses evolving and growing.

Here are my recommendations to develop your CEO mindset as wedding planner!

Schedule CEO time.

Block off time on your calendar for working on your biz, not in it. This time is perfect for updating systems and workflows, planning social media and online content, or managing your revenue projections. You can have one day a week dedicated to this, or you can have a couple of hours spread out over a few days. You also want to plan quarterly check-ins with yourself to evaluate what's working and what's not working in your business. The choice of how you schedule your CEO time is yours, but intentional time built for your work and not client work is key!

Book a workcation.

Create intentional time for working on your business. Set aside a couple of days to get out of your house and to get your creative juices flowing. Pick a time when you have no other obligations than your biz development work. Every workcation I've ever taken has led to amazing business growth ideas and has been the key to unlocking extra revenue for my business!

Spend time reflecting.

Have you ever asked yourself what you need to let go of that is no longer serving you? Chances are, you have things that are actually holding back the growth of your biz. This could be a service offering, a team member, or a partnership with a venue that you've outgrown. Or, it could be something bigger, like a type of client you've been marketing to that you no longer want to work with. Reflect and make changes where needed. This fresh start can happen any time of year.
